There's always a 'First Post'

Updated: Jun 25, 2020

I had been dreaming about starting my own teacher’s blog for years, and now, I finally did it since I have the time, well, I think most people are brave to try anything now because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have to really push myself as I have a thing about not finishing what I have started (I am not alone, right?).  And just to be clear, I don’t have perfect English – I still get in and on mixed up, sometimes – but I can at least write and I have passion for teaching, so those should be enough. I didn’t think starting was the most difficult part. But procrastination is such a dear friend/enemy of mine. One thing I have learnt or heard (maybe it was said in Tagalog too) is “If not now, when?” So here I am, typing away, regretting the grammar mistakes later.

I will be starting to post some activities that you can do with your child/children during this period of endless home time. As young as the children are, it is important to do activities where they can use their senses to explore as this will support their holistic development. So, expect a lot of sensory and messy play activities. Hopefully these activities will guide you in the learning journey with your child but you are welcome to add on them depending on the child’s age, mood, etc.

Thanks for visiting and stay safe!

Paalam!
