Sticky Tape Activity for Toddlers

Writer's picture: That Filipina TeacherThat Filipina Teacher

Struggling to think about an activity that will make your child busy for a few minutes?

No preparation needed!

All you need in this activity is:

  • sticky tape (plain, decorated or masking tape)

  • any item you want and you can find in the house

You can try kitchen items, toys, flashcards, different textures, etc. You will either see them being really patient by trying to peel the tape from the corners or just pulling the object, the tape along with it. Talk about about the objects and encourage conversation by asking questions, "what colour do you see?", "how does that feel?", etc.

To extend the activity, practice scrunching up or crumpling the tape into little balls and stick them around the house so they can pull them off. If you are using a plain masking tape, you can let your child draw or colour in it too.

Paalam!
